Patients with encephalitis can return to normal after active treatment, but some patients will have more obvious sequelae, such as epilepsy, hydrocephalus and paralysis.
In general, patients with mild encephalitis may have symptoms such as chills, fever, headache or mild consciousness disorder, which can be restored to normal after active treatment and will not leave sequelae.
Patients with severe encephalitis have more obvious clinical symptoms, such as deep coma, hemiparesis, aphasia, visual impairment, etc. Symptoms can be relieved after active treatment, but they are prone to leave more obvious sequelae.
Once the diagnosis of encephalitis is confirmed, patients should be treated immediately with appropriate etiologic treatment, such as antibiotics for bacterial infections, such as ceftazidime, etc. Sensitive antibiotics should be selected for the causative organisms, and intrathecal drug administration can be considered if necessary.
