50 days after the distal radius fracture, can’t the palm face up?

The palm of the hand can face upward after 50 days of distal radius fracture, if it can’t face upward, it is considered that the functional exercise is not in place, the injury of the deltoid ligament of the wrist or the displacement of the fracture.
Because of the local blood circulation of the distal radius fracture, no matter after the fracture is fixed by manipulation, plaster fixation or surgical internal fixation, under normal circumstances, the fracture site scab has been firmly formed in 50 days, and the functional exercise without weight bearing can be carried out. Generally, after regular functional exercise, the wrist joint can be flexed, extended, internally rotated, externally rotated, and the palm of the hand can face upward.
If the palm of the hand can not face up, consider the rotational function exercise is not in place, wrist joint stiffness, then need to strengthen the wrist functional exercise. If the deltoid ligament of the wrist is damaged, it can also cause the center of the hand can not face up, and surgery is recommended to repair the damaged ligament. The fracture may be displaced again during the healing process of the fracture fixation, and surgery is recommended to correct the fracture.
If the center of the hand is not facing up after 50 days of distal radius fracture, it is recommended to consult a physician for treatment.
