Nose acne is most often considered to be due to a variety of reasons that cause a buildup of sebum and keratin plugs. Common causes include abnormal hormone levels, Propionibacterium acnes infection, sebum secretion, keratinization of the sebaceous gland ducts of hair follicles and so on. 1. Abnormal hormone levels: Commonly due to increased androgen levels, such as polycystic ovary syndrome. A large amount of androgen secretion will cause sebaceous gland hypertrophy and stimulate the secretion of sebum. 2. Propionibacterium acnes infection: usually after Propionibacterium acnes infects the hair follicles in the nose, if not removed in time, it will multiply in the mouth of the hair follicles, and Propionibacterium acnes will break down the triglycerides in sebum into free fatty acids, further stimulate the proliferation and hyperkeratosis of keratinocytes at the duct of the hair follicle, causing obstruction of the excretion of sebum, which accumulates in the mouth of the hair follicle, forming acne. 3. Large amount of sebum secretion: due to the diet of spicy, stimulating and greasy food or staying up late, resulting in increased sebum secretion, if not cleaned up in time, it is easy to accumulate in the mouth of the hair follicle, forming acne. 4. Keratinization of sebaceous gland ducts of hair follicles: It is mainly due to the infection of Propionibacterium acnes, which triggers a series of inflammatory reactions, leading to keratinization of sebaceous gland ducts, and the accumulation of sebum and fat plugs in the mouth of hair follicles, which forms acne. It is recommended that patients diagnosed with acne, pay attention to skin cleanliness and hygiene, go to the dermatology department of a regular hospital in a timely manner, and follow the doctor’s instructions for reasonable treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
