Is high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion of the cervix serious?

Highly squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix are more serious and require intervention.
High-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix are among the most serious types of cervical intraepithelial lesions. Cervical intraepithelial lesions are pre-cancerous and are prone to develop into cervical cancer, and therefore require active treatment.
At present, clinically, high-grade cervical lesions with satisfactory colposcopy can usually be treated with physiotherapy or cervical vertebral resection. In the case of recurrent high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, diagnostic conization is performed.
Cervical conization is used for unsatisfactory colposcopy, and sexual total hysterectomy may be considered if the patient is older and has no reproductive needs.
Patients are advised to seek prompt medical attention and standardized treatment.
