There is a difference between the drug composition, efficacy and main treatment of Baohe Pills and Yueju Pills.
Boho Pill is composed of hawthorn, hexagram, hemixia, poria, tangerine peel, forsythia, lycopodium, malt. It is effective in eliminating food stagnation, inducing stagnation and harmonizing the stomach. It is used in treating food stagnation (stagnation of food in the stomach due to indigestion), fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), belching and swallowing of acid (swallowing of acid in the stomach upward to the oropharynx), and lack of desire for food and drink.
Yueju Boho Pill is composed of Gardenia, Liushinqu, Xiangshu, Chuanxiong, Cangzhu, Muxiang and Betel nut. It has the efficacy of dispersing the liver and relieving depression (treating depression by dispersing the liver’s qi), opening the stomach and eliminating food.
Yueju Boho Pill is used for gastric pain caused by stagnation of qi and food, which is characterized by distension and pain in the epigastrium, inverted satiety (not feeling full after eating, but feeling bloated and indigestible after a while), noisiness (a feeling similar to hunger, emptiness with burning in the stomach), dullness (lack of appetite, less food), poor food, and irregularity in stools (abnormal bowel movements); indigestion can be seen in the above mentioned symptoms.
