Effects and Side Effects of Sulpiride Tablets

Sulpiride tablets are effective in the treatment of schizophrenia and its side effects include weakness, insomnia and dry mouth. Sulpiride tablets are a class of antipsychotic drugs, and its main ingredient is sulpiride. It is effective in the treatment of schizophrenia, and can be used clinically to treat a variety of schizophrenia such as simple and catatonic, as well as withdrawal and apathy in chronic schizophrenia patients, and also has some therapeutic effect on depressive symptoms. Adverse reactions such as sleep disturbances, restlessness, agitation, drowsiness, headache, heaviness, dizziness, hallucinations, euphoria, mania, manic states, numbness, and ataxia may occur with the use of this drug. A few patients may experience amnesia, drowsiness, wandering, hyperactivity, diminished inhibition, and apathy. If the dose is taken in excess, it may also cause visual disturbances, coldness and heaviness in the eyes, and flickering of the eyes, among other manifestations. This drug is contraindicated in people with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product; patients with pituitary prolactin adenomas (prolactinomas); patients with suspected pheochromocytomas (which may trigger hypertensive emergencies); patients with hypertension, severe cardiovascular disease, and severe liver disease. Patients who need to use the drug should do so under the supervision of a doctor.
