What’s that little white spot on the inside of your eyelid?

The appearance of a small white dot inside the eyelid is due to a variety of reasons, such as conjunctival stones, wheals, lid gland opening blockage. 1. Conjunctival stones: usually due to chronic conjunctivitis caused by local inflammatory exudate and necrotic tissue accumulation, manifested as a small white dot inside the eyelid. If the stone is small, it may not produce special sensation, if the stone is large, it may produce foreign body sensation. 2. Erythroderma: It is usually caused by acute inflammation due to the invasion of purulent bacteria into the eyelid glands. In the case of internal erythroderma, it may be manifested as small white dots inside the eyelids, accompanied by localized pain, redness and swelling. 3. Blepharoplakia opening blockage: this condition may form a small white spot at the opening of the blepharoplakia gland, located at the root of the follicle, and the patient may show symptoms of foreign body sensation and inability to open the eyes. Small white spots in the eyelids are recommended to go to the hospital.
