Pulmonary fibrosis has the potential to be cured. Usually pulmonary fibrosis with known causes can be mostly cured after the removal of the cause or etiological treatment; pulmonary fibrosis with unknown causes is not easily cured. The common symptoms of pulmonary fibrosis include difficulty in breathing, purple lips, dry cough, general weakness, etc. In severe cases, the disease can lead to loss of ability to work and eventually to respiratory failure, so the disease needs to be treated actively. The disease can be divided into pulmonary fibrosis of known cause and pulmonary fibrosis of unknown cause, which have different treatment effects. In pulmonary fibrosis caused by rheumatic system diseases, smoking and harmful gases, the symptoms of pulmonary fibrosis can be relieved after the cause is cured. Pulmonary fibrosis of unknown origin, however, cannot be treated by targeting the cause and is often incurable. The treatment of pulmonary fibrosis usually chooses glucocorticoids, and if the effect of hormone therapy is poor, immunosuppressants with antioxidants and anti-fibrotic drugs can be added, and oxygen nebulization and bronchodilatation therapy can be actively carried out, and ventilator-assisted therapy can be used when necessary. Patients with pulmonary fibrosis should arrange their diet according to their physical condition and avoid foods that are not conducive to recovery, which may lead to aggravation of the disease. They should not smoke, drink alcohol, eat more protein, vitamins and carbohydrates with a high ratio, and pay attention to hydration.
