What to do if you have calluses on your palms

Calluses on the palms of the hands, medically known as calluses, are generally non-treatable and can be removed in a variety of ways, such as mechanical removal, medication, and laser or cryotherapy, if they interfere with aesthetics or activities.
A callus is a kind of keratosis that is formed due to excessive friction or extrusion.
1. Mechanical removal: This means using nail clippers or razor blades to remove the localized cuticle.
2. Medication: you can use some corrosive medicines under doctor’s guidance, which can remove the cuticle, such as salicylic acid phenol cream, salicylic acid ointment and so on.
3. Laser treatment: the use of laser heat to burn the stratum corneum, can play a rapid removal of calluses, but after the operation may form scars.
4. Cryotherapy: the use of liquid nitrogen’s extremely low temperature on the stratum corneum for freezing, is the local skin necrosis until the process of callus off.
