How to regulate mossy tongue

Mossy tongue is mainly caused by yin deficiency and phlegm-dampness, which can be regulated by Chinese medicines such as Radix Panax Ginseng, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Poria.
1. Radix Panax Ginseng: Radix Panax Ginseng is sweet, slightly bitter, and flat in nature, belonging to the spleen and lung meridians, with the effects of benefiting qi, strengthening the spleen, and promoting the production of fluids and moistening the lungs, it can be used for treating the symptoms of deficiency of the spleen and fatigue, loss of appetite, deficiency of qi and yin, as well as dry lungs and dry coughs, and it can be used for regulating the peeling of the mossy tongue caused by yin deficiency.
2. Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae: Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae is bitter, sweet and warm in nature, belonging to the spleen and stomach meridians, with the effects of strengthening the spleen, benefiting the qi and drying dampness and inducing diuresis. It is mainly used in the treatment of spleen deficiency with little food, abdominal distension and diarrhea.
3. Poria: Poria is sweet, light and flat in nature, belonging to the heart, lung, spleen and kidney meridians, with the effect of inducing water and seeping dampness (promoting the flow of water to get rid of dampness) and strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart, it is mainly used for treating oedema with little urine, phlegm and drink, vertigo and palpitation caused by phlegm and drink, diarrhea, restlessness of the heart and mind as well as palpitation and insomnia.
Atractylodes macrocephala and Poria can be used to regulate the peeling of mossy tongue caused by phlegm-dampness.
