Red rashes on the body after a fever may be caused by chickenpox, measles, rubella and other factors. According to the different diseases, you can choose the appropriate drugs for treatment.
1. Chickenpox: caused by varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is determined to be a rash disease caused by drug allergy, typical chickenpox rash can appear before the precursor symptoms, such as fever, malaise and anorexia, followed by a rash. Itchy skin can be treated with topical glycerite lotion. Acyclovir is the preferred antiviral drug and should be used as early as possible.
2. Measles: it is an infectious disease caused by measles virus, most of the rash appears after 3-4 days of fever, the rash is red maculopapular at the beginning, congestive, and normal skin can be seen between the rashes, not accompanied by itchiness. Later, part of the fusion into a piece, the color deepens to dark red. Symptomatic treatment of high fever can be appropriate use of antipyretic agents such as ibuprofen.
3. Rubella: a common acute infectious disease caused by rubella virus, usually in fever 1 ~ 2 days out of the rash, the rash is light red, slightly elevated, the size of about 2mm or so, distribution is uniform, but larger than the scarlet fever rash, the rash between the normal skin, cadres of the rash sparse, the face and limbs are often fusion, fever can be used as appropriate antipyretic agents such as ibuprofen.
There may be other reasons for the rash after the fever, we suggest to go to the hospital for examination, to clarify the cause, and then combine with the doctor’s advice to standardize the treatment.
