What are the symptoms of a displaced birth control ring?

When the IUD is displaced, many patients have no symptoms. Some patients may experience irregular vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, back pain, or even severe perforation of the uterus. In this case, a hysteroscopic procedure is performed to remove the IUD. It is recommended to remove the IUD within 3-7 days after menstruation and reapply the IUD after the next menstruation. Antibiotics and symptomatic treatment to stop bleeding will be given after the IUD. Patients are forbidden to have intercourse for one month and avoid heavy physical labor. Avoid cold, stimulating and spicy food in the diet. Review the gynecological ultrasound after one month to know whether the ring position is normal.
