Pain in the left lower abdomen in women is more commonly associated with gynecological disorders and can be seen by a gynecologist. Women are characterized by having adnexa, including the ovaries and fallopian tubes, in addition to the uterus. Pain in the left lower abdomen requires a high degree of suspicion for adnexal pathology, such as ovarian cysts or tubal problems. Pregnant women, especially those who are already pregnant, must pay attention to whether the pregnancy is ectopic. Ectopic pregnancy is a gynecologic emergency that can cause life-threatening problems if it causes rupture and bleeding. Women with left small abdominal pain are generally not considered general surgery diseases. General surgery common appendicitis is mostly pain in the right side of the abdomen, that is, pain in the right lower abdomen. Women with left small abdominal pain should be registered with gynecology. Generally, the most direct and simple gynecologic examination is gynecologic ultrasound, which is available in two ways: transabdominal and transvaginal, and can be selected according to the characteristics of the patient. It is recommended that once a young woman or an older woman has left small abdominal pain, it should not be easily ignored and should be seen promptly.
