Menstruation is generally referred to as menstruation. Generally speaking, a woman’s menstrual flow of 20~60ml is considered normal, but due to individual variability, it is impossible to make a generalization.
Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon caused by the cyclic shedding of the uterine lining. In normal women, due to the growth of follicles, ovulation, formation of corpus luteum, as well as the secretion of progesterone and oestrogen, which will result in the cyclic shedding of the uterine lining, women will experience regular vaginal bleeding.
Usually, the normal range of menstrual flow for most women is 20 to 60 ml, and the menstrual cycle lasts 21 to 35 days, with an average of 28 days. The duration of a menstrual period ranges from 2 to 8 days, with an average of 4 to 6 days.
If there is prolonged nervous tension, excessive dieting, prolonged staying up late and alcoholism, it may lead to a decline in body functions, affect the balance state of the body, cause endocrine disorders, and lead to abnormal menstruation in the patient.
If the patient has abnormal menstrual flow during menstruation, accompanied by lower abdominal pain, itching, acidity and swelling and other symptoms, they should be alert to whether it is due to disease, and should go to the hospital and undergo the relevant examination, so as to clarify the cause of the disease.
