How psoriasis is treated physically

Psoriasis, commonly known as psoriasis, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a long course and a tendency to recur, in some cases almost for life. The disease develops mainly in young adults and has a significant impact on the physical health and mental status of patients. The clinical manifestations are mainly erythema and scaling, which can develop all over the body, with the scalp and extremities being more common, mostly aggravated in winter. What are the physical therapy methods for psoriasis? Bathing therapy can remove scales, cleanse the skin and improve microcirculation, such as adding appropriate drugs to the bath can improve the therapeutic effect. Those commonly used are sulfur bath, bran bath, tar bath, mineral bath, seawater bath, Chinese medicine bath, etc., which can stimulate the skin, improve blood circulation, increase itching and eliminate inflammatory infiltration. Things to note when bathing: the water temperature can be on the high side, but not too hot. Because the water temperature is too high will make the lesions’ blood vessels dilate, inflammation increase, itching obvious, which will lead to the deterioration of the lesions. For patients with progressive, erysipelas water temperature should be lower. After bathing, you can apply some moisturizing creams, such as 10% urea cream, etc. The skin lesions of psoriasis should not be stimulated, especially in the progressive stage and erythroderma. Therefore, do not use or use less soap when bathing, especially do not use irritating alkaline soap and washing powder. Do not scratch excessively or rub hard with bath towels when bathing. Second, Chinese medicine steam bath therapy that is Chinese medicine fumigation therapy. Chinese medicine fumigation is an important part of the traditional Chinese medicine external treatment method. Our ancestors realized a long time ago that “the theory of external treatment is the theory of internal treatment, and the medicine of external treatment is also the medicine of internal treatment”, and oral medicine can also be administered through fumigation to achieve therapeutic effects. Third, ultraviolet light therapy ultraviolet light is invisible light, wavelength 200 ~ 400nm, the various biological effects of ultraviolet light have certain spectral characteristics, the size and nature of its effect with the wavelength. Ultraviolet spectrum can be divided into three bands: long wavelength ultraviolet (UVA), wavelength 320 ~ 400nm; medium wavelength ultraviolet (UVB), wavelength 280 ~ 320nm; short wavelength ultraviolet (UVC), wavelength 200 ~ 280nm. ultraviolet light therapy its treatment mechanism is through the regulation of the epidermal cells of DNA and immune cells in the dermis and achieve the purpose of treatment. UVC phototherapy, which has been applied in developed countries in Europe and the United States, is recognized as a preferred, economical and effective treatment method for common intractable skin diseases.
