The taboos for herpes zoster include the following: first, avoid spicy and irritating foods, including raw onion, garlic, chili, and alcoholic beverages, as well as hairy items such as mutton and seafood; second, maintain a good mood in life, not excessive anxiety, depression, anger, and mental tension; third, maintain moderate exercise, not strenuous exercise resulting in a decrease in the body’s immunity; fourth, avoid using irritating drugs or saline, alcohol, or vinegar to apply to the affected area; fifth, avoid scratching or picking at the blisters with your hands to cause the spread of the virus, or even the aggravation of the infection.
