Minimally invasive intervention for herpes zoster neuralgia

Herpes zoster is a severe pain in the area of the affected nerve, which is of various nature, such as burning, stabbing, cutting, electric shock, tightness, etc. The nature, degree and duration of pain vary depending on the time of onset, age and physical condition of the patient. The acute phase of herpes zoster can be cured with symptomatic treatment of antiviral, analgesic and nerve nutrition. For persistent herpes zoster neuralgia or post-herpetic neuralgia, conservative medical treatment has limited effect on pain relief. Minimally invasive interventional treatment can rapidly relieve pain with remarkable efficacy. At present, our department adopts a variety of minimally invasive interventional treatment methods to treat all kinds of herpes zoster neuralgia. This method has the following advantages: 1. It can reduce the nerve nociceptive sensitivity, interrupt its nociceptive conduction, and rapidly and effectively relieve pain; 2. It is less traumatic, with small incisions and no scar residue after surgery; 3. Herpes zoster neuralgia is a persistent painful disease, and minimally invasive interventional treatment has the characteristics of minimally invasive, safe and good efficacy. Patients should be detected and treated early to avoid suffering from postherpetic neuralgia. For patients with postherpetic neuralgia, the only way to effectively stop the pain and cure it completely is to use minimally invasive interventional methods as early as possible.
