There is no direct relationship between the DOB value and gastric cancer, the DOB value only reflects whether the patient has H. pylori infection or not. DOB value is an indicator for detecting HP (Helicobacter pylori) infection through carbon 13 breath test, and the normal value is within 4. When the value is greater than 4, it suggests that the patient is infected with H. pylori, and this value does not suggest stomach cancer. It should be noted that H. pylori is one of the causative factors of gastric cancer, and is also related to the occurrence of other diseases, such as gastritis and gastric ulcer. When the DOB value is found to be greater than 4 it is recommended that H. pylori be eradicated, and a 1+2+1 treatment regimen (i.e., one proton pump inhibitor + two antibiotics + one bismuth) is generally used in the clinic, such as omeprazole + carbamazepine + amoxicillin + bismuth potassium citrate. The medication should be administered under the guidance of a doctor and should not be used without authorization.
