What are the dark patches in the eyes?

Dark patches in the eye are considered to be of two types. The first case is more common in children, mainly in the white of the eye above or below the eyelid cover, there are irregularly shaped gray-black or black-brown dark spots, mainly because the sclera is thin and the deep tissue, especially the color of the deep blood vessels, is visible. No special treatment is needed. Clinically, the main focus is on observation, because there is no good way to deal with it, and it usually does not affect the vision. The second condition is caused by pigmentation, especially pigmented nevi that are clearly elevated or pigmented spots that are flat on the surface. However, this condition also does not affect vision and is usually not treated. If you feel that it affects aesthetics, you can also consider surgical removal.
