Is a hot face a symptom of fever?

A hot face can be a symptom of a fever, but a fever cannot be evaluated solely on the basis of a hot face. There are many conditions that can cause fever other than fever. For example, when we are nervous, when we are irritable and depressed, or when we have eaten some spicy and stimulating food, it can cause a fever. The gold standard for judging fever is the thermometer. If the thermometer reading exceeds 37.3℃ in the armpit, the diagnosis of fever is clear. A hot face only gives us a hint, but whether it is a fever or not, we still need to take our body temperature with a thermometer to be able to clarify whether it is a fever or not.
