What’s going on with the hamstring protruding from the foot?

The tendon on the top of the foot is medically known as the dorsalis pedis vein and its branches. There are two general reasons for the prominence of the tendons on the top of the feet: the first is that the dorsal blood vessels of the feet are shallow and the subcutaneous fat is small, so the blood vessels of the dorsum of the feet are obvious. Especially after drinking alcohol, exercising and soaking feet in hot water, the blood vessels are more obvious. The second type is caused by increased venous pressure. This is mainly due to decreased venous elasticity, valvular insufficiency caused by increased venous pressure in the lower limbs, so the dorsal veins of the feet appear to be dilated.
