Effects and side effects of saxagliptin tablets

Saxagliptin tablets are known to treat type 2 diabetes and adverse reactions such as headache may occur with the use of this drug. Saxagliptin tablets have the ability to slow down the inactivation of insulinotropic hormones, thereby treating the fasting and postprandial hyperglycemia of type 2 diabetes. Adverse reactions such as headache, peripheral edema, and renal impairment may occur while using this medication. These adverse effects may resolve with measures such as changing medications, but the need to change, and which medication to change, requires comprehensive judgment by the clinician. The use of the drug is prohibited in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, drug hypersensitivity, angioedema, and exfoliative skin damage. Caution is also advised in cases of severe renal insufficiency, severe arthralgia, suspected herpetic pemphigoid, and heart failure. Saxagliptin needs to be used under the guidance of a clinician, and unauthorized use of the drug is prohibited.
