What to do if a child frequently wets the bed

Children who frequently wet the bed are medically known as enuresis, which can be improved by general treatment, bladder function training and medication.
1. General treatment: Encourage children to drink more water during the day, but limit the amount of water they drink at night, and let them urinate before going to bed to empty the bladder.
2. Bladder function training: small children can find a place to sit down, squat, cross their legs or contract the anal sphincter and other methods to inhibit the feeling of urination when the urge to urinate arises. Through the exercise of bladder function, improve the situation of nighttime bedwetting.
3. Medication: Anticholinergic drugs can inhibit the over-activity of the forced urinary muscles and are commonly used to relieve bedwetting in children over the age of 6 who still have it. Commonly used drugs are oxybutynin, tolterodine and so on.
Children often bedwetting parents should give adequate guidance training as well as positive encouragement, if long-term can not be relieved, it is recommended to take the child to the hospital in time for treatment.
