Efficacy and effect of Chuanxiong Cha Zhi San

Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong Tea Dispersant is effective in relieving wind and headache (relieving headache by dispersing wind), and is indicated for treating headache caused by external wind (headache caused by wind penetrating into the head from outside).
Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong Tea Dispersant is composed of Rhizoma Thorax, Mentha piperita, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Cortex Sinensis, Angelica dahurica, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Fenghuang, Radix Qiangwu, Radix glycyrrhizae. It has the efficacy of dispersing wind and relieving pain. It is used for treating headache due to wind, which is characterized by headache at the top of the head or migraine, cold (fear of cold) and fever, nasal congestion, dizziness, thin white fur on the tongue, and floating pulse.
In this formula, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong is good at dispelling wind and activating blood circulation and stopping headache; Jingwu and Mentha piperita can disperse wind and relieve pain and clear the head and eyes; Angelica dahuricae and Qiangwu can disperse wind and relieve pain; Sinapis paniculatae disperses cold and relieves pain; Radix glycyrrhiza glabra can benefit the qi and zhong (tonifying qi and regulating the spleen and stomach), and harmonize the various medicines (harmonize the properties of different traditional Chinese medicines).
