Delayed menstruation with discharge is considered to be caused by pregnancy, early onset ovarian insufficiency, polycystic ovary syndrome and other conditions.
1. Pregnancy: Usually for women who have sex, the possibility of pregnancy is considered, and patients can see a doctor for a urine pregnancy test after 10 days of delayed menstruation, so as to determine pregnancy.
2. Perimenopausal syndrome: It is usually a series of clinical manifestations caused by fluctuation or decrease of sex hormones in menopausal women. Patients often have irregular menstrual cycles, prolonged cycles and menstrual periods, reduced menstrual flow and other symptoms, which can be manifested as delayed menstrual discharge. Some patients may also suffer from palpitations, headache, insomnia, tinnitus and so on.
3. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: The cause of this disease is still unclear, and it may be due to a combination of environmental and genetic factors. Patients often have menstrual disorders, which may manifest as scanty menstruation, low menstrual flow, or even amenorrhea, and thus may also have delayed menstrual discharge. Some of them may also suffer from acne, hirsutism and infertility.
It is recommended that patients with delayed menstruation with discharge should consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions for active treatment.
