Not everyone has wisdom teeth. Clinical data now show that about 5%-18% of the population is born without missing third molars, i.e., congenitally missing wisdom teeth. In fact, some patients may look at their teeth in the mirror at home and find that there is no tooth number eight, i.e., no third molar, so they may think they do not have wisdom teeth. Whether or not wisdom teeth are growing, in fact, you need to do an X-ray examination, usually a clinical panoramic film examination to observe whether there are wisdom teeth growing inside the bone, in order to finally determine whether or not wisdom teeth are growing. Even if the wisdom tooth is not exposed in the mouth, it may be buried in the bone. Therefore, if you just open your mouth at home in front of a mirror to make a judgment, such a judgment may not be accurate. It is advisable to go to the dentistry department of a regular hospital for further examination to determine whether you have wisdom teeth or not.
