There is a certain difference between liver fibrosis and early cirrhosis. Liver fibrosis is the liver’s pathological repair response to some chronic injuries, and early cirrhosis is also known as compensated cirrhosis, and cirrhosis manifestations such as non-smooth surface of the liver and uneven echoes can be observed. 1. Liver fibrosis: it is in the former stage of early cirrhosis, if the disease continues to develop, nodular regeneration of hepatocytes will occur, when pseudo lobe formation means entering the stage of cirrhosis. Liver fibrosis is an important step in the transformation of many chronic liver diseases to cirrhosis, so it should be treated actively at this stage to prevent the condition from deteriorating. 2. Early cirrhosis: It is a structural change of the liver caused by chronic progressive liver disease. If the severity of liver fibrosis is at grade 4 or 6, it will be diagnosed as cirrhosis. Ultrasound examination of the liver can observe the manifestations of cirrhosis such as the surface of the liver is not smooth and the echogenicity is not uniform. This stage requires active clarification of the cause of the disease and treatment of the primary disease. Cirrhosis is in a dynamic development process, patients are advised to go to the hospital regularly for review and early detection and treatment.
