What’s wrong with swollen eyelids and legs?

Swollen eyelids and legs are clinical manifestations of edema, including four causes. 1, heart disease, mostly seen in left heart failure, rheumatic heart disease, advanced hypertensive heart disease, due to obstruction of blood return in the superior vena cava and inferior vena cava, blood stagnation in the end of the limbs and face, can appear swollen eyelids and legs, need to strengthen the heart, diuretic treatment. 2, kidney disease, the kidneys have diuretic drainage, if the renal insufficiency or failure, manifested as hypoproteinemia, water and sodium retention, can appear swollen eyelids and legs. If the kidneys are incompetent or fail, hypoproteinemia and sodium retention can occur, and eyelid swelling and leg swelling can occur. 3, liver disease, various end-stage liver diseases are manifested as cirrhosis, liver failure, and thus the ability to synthesize albumin decreases causing hypoproteinemia, and leakage of fluid causes eyelid swelling and edema. 4, allergic reactions, facial and calf contact with allergens can also occur eyelid swelling and leg swelling.
