White flocculent floaters in the urine are mostly caused by urinary tract infections with crystalluria, pyuria, or physiological factors. 1. Crystalluria: Crystalluria refers to the concentration of certain solutes in the urine exceeds the solubility in the urine, crystallization will be formed, thus making the urine appear white precipitate, such as phosphate crystals, calcium carbonate crystals, calcium oxalate crystals and so on. It mostly occurs in morning urination, especially in patients who drink less water, sweat more, overwork, and have excessive sex and sex drive. Most of this white flocculent is the crystalline state of the concentrated urine or some protein substances secreted by the prostate fluid and urethral glands floating on the surface of the urine, forming turbid-like urine. If it is urate, oxalate and phosphate crystals, it can be seen in normal people. However, if they occur frequently in large quantities and are accompanied by microscopic hematuria, the possibility of stones should be suspected. 2. Pus urine: Pus urine refers to a large number of leukocytes and other inflammatory exudates in the urine, as well as bacteria, will make the urine appear white and cloudy. The presence of pyuria suggests specific and non-specific infectious diseases of the urinary system, such as pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, urinary tract tuberculosis and so on. 3. Physiological factors: if the patient only occasionally white flocculent floaters, it may be related to diet, do not need special treatment. White flocculent floaters in the urine at the same time, if accompanied by fever, urinary discomfort and other manifestations, we must go to the hospital in a timely manner.
