Breastfeeding One

The year 2012 is the Year of the Golden Dragon in the lunar calendar. Since ancient times, the Chinese have considered the dragon to be the most auspicious animal, and many young parents want a dragon baby, so I wonder if young mothers-to-be are prepared for how to nurse a healthy dragon baby? First of all, I would like to emphasize the importance of breastfeeding. The first hour of breastfeeding can save one million lives; the World Health Organization has designated the first week of August as “World Breastfeeding Week”; May 20 is China Breastfeeding Day; the benefits of breastfeeding: 1, rich in nutrients. Breast milk contains a variety of nutrients suitable for the growth of infants, and is easy to digest and absorb. 2, enhance immunity. Breast milk contains a large number of immunologically active substances and a variety of immunoglobulins. When the infant’s immune system is not yet fully developed, breast milk can help infants to resist diseases and anti-allergies. Usually breastfed babies are less likely to get sick within six months of birth. 3. Development of IQ. Breast milk contains amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids and taurine, which are beneficial to the neurological development of the baby’s brain and make the baby smarter. 4.Postnatal recovery. By feeding, the mother, the baby sucking the nipple to stimulate the secretion of pituitary lactogen and promote lactation and uterine contraction, can contraception and prevent postpartum bleeding. Research shows that breastfeeding women have a lower incidence of breast and ovarian cancer. 5. Convenient and hygienic. Breast milk is secreted directly from the mammary gland, the temperature is suitable, no pollution, feeding is convenient and economical. 6.Mother-infant bonding. Through feeding, the infant frequent skin contact with the mother, can enhance the feelings of mother and child, and at the same time can promote the development of infant psychological and social adaptation.
