Best time to worm your child

There is no such thing as “the best time to worm your child”. Generally, healthy children over 2 years old can be wormed.
Children with symptoms of parasitic infection, including anorexia, picky eating, teeth grinding, frequent abdominal pain, weight loss, and parasites in the stool, can be considered for worming at this time.
Worming pills are best taken about half an hour before a meal, and may interfere with the effectiveness of worming if taken after a meal.
Safe worming medications for children include piperazine phosphate, which can be used for infections such as roundworms and pinworms in children. Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, abnormal sensations, hives, etc. occur occasionally and are contraindicated in case of allergy.
All of the above medications should be used under a doctor’s supervision.
