Lipitor 10 p.p.m. and 20 p.p.m. is the difference of dosage, but the rest of the efficacy and the main treatment are the same. Lipitor is the trade name for Atorvastatin calcium tablets, a lipid-lowering drug that belongs to the statin class and is mainly used to treat primary hypercholesterolemia, including familial hypercholesterolemia or mixed hyperlipidemia. The initial dose of 10 mg can be adjusted according to the level of cholesterol values up to a maximum of 80 p.p.m. daily (such a high dose is not usually recommended for the Chinese) at any fixed time of the day.
