How to improve nystagmus

For some patients with nystagmus, their vision is usually poor, as is their binocular focusing function and stereopsis. There are two treatment options for nystagmus: first, consider prescription lenses, with prisms, to regulate the nystagmus in an intermediate band, where the eyeballs can remain motionless. Second, if the nystagmus is more pronounced, surgical treatment of nystagmus can also be considered. Overall speaking, no matter wearing prisms or surgery, it can only make the nystagmus in a relatively ideal position, and usually can not completely cure the nystagmus, which is mainly due to congenital or acquired abnormalities in nerve afferent and conduction.
