When using Diosmin tablets, the daily dose should be divided equally into two portions to be taken orally at lunch and dinner. The usual dose is 2 tablets/day; when used for acute hemorrhoidal attacks, 6 tablets/day for the first four days and 4 tablets/day for the following three days. The drug increases vascular tone and reduces blood stasis, and is used for symptoms associated with veno-lymphatic insufficiency, such as morning soreness and discomfort in the extremities, heaviness and pain in the extremities, and swelling of soft tissues, as well as for acute episodes of hemorrhoids. Adverse reactions such as nausea, panic, dyspepsia, etc. may occur after the use of the drug. Allergic to the drug is prohibited. There are no known interactions when combined with other drugs. Nursing women are advised to suspend breastfeeding when using the drug.
