What are the causes of sore calves

There are many reasons for calf belly soreness, which may be related to over-exercise, spinal cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation and so on.

1. Excessive exercise: When the body is over-exercised, it can lead to the accumulation of a large amount of lactic acid, resulting in soreness and swelling of the calves.

2. Spinal cord cervical spondylosis: When prolonged compression leads to deformation of the spinal cord, it can also cause soreness and weakness in the lower legs.

3. Lumbar disc herniation: when the lumbar disc herniation presses on the nerves, pain, numbness and soreness in the innervated area will occur. In the early stage, the pain is in the lower back, and as the area of compression continues to expand, there will be soreness and weakness in the calves.

There may be other causes of calf pain and swelling, it is recommended to consult a specialist in time, improve the relevant examination, and give targeted treatment and therapy after clarifying the cause of the disease.
