The BMD test report is divided into two parts: the graph and the numerical value, the graph is the trend of high and low bone density of the patient and the same age, the numerical value is expressed by two standard values: T value is the standard deviation value of the patient’s bone quality compared with normal healthy children, if the T value is between -1 and 1, it means the patient’s bone density is normal, if the T value is between -2.5 and -1, it means there is osteoporosis, bone loss, etc., if the T value is less than -2.5, it means the child has serious bone loss. If the T value is between -2.5 and -1, it means that there is osteoporosis, bone loss, etc. If it is less than -2.5, it means that the child has severe osteoporosis. If this value is less than or equal to -2, it means that the patient’s bone density is lower than the standard of normal people of the same age, i.e. osteoporosis compared with people of the same age. In order to prevent osteoporosis children should pay attention to calcium supplementation, outdoor activities, and more sun exposure, which helps synthesize vitamin D to promote calcium absorption.
