Focal glandular epithelial hyperplasia of the gastric mucosa is not necessarily atypical hyperplasia, but may be caused by inflammatory hyperplasia. Gastric mucosal focal glandular epithelial hyperplasia may be caused by inflammatory hyperplasia, such as superficial gastritis, such gastritis caused by glandular epithelial hyperplasia, is a benign lesion, can be cured by medication, often take drugs such as omeprazole and other acid suppression agents. Focal glandular epithelial hyperplasia of the gastric mucosa may also be atypical hyperplasia, mostly due to the replacement of normal glands and epithelial cells by cup cells or pyloric gland cells, which have a certain risk of becoming cancerous, and therefore need to be treated by drugs or surgery. Both inflammatory hyperplasia and atypical hyperplasia can be diagnosed by gastroscopy and pathologic biopsy, and timely consultation is recommended.
