Many tumors present with metastases to the pleura and peritoneum, which can stimulate the production of malignant pleural and abdominal fluid, one of the common complications of advanced cancer. Intracavitary instillation of chemotherapeutic drugs and perfusion of thoracoabdominal body cavity with thermal circulation are commonly used western medical treatments. However, there are still a considerable number of tumor patients whose thoracoabdominal fluid cannot be effectively controlled. Our department has applied the method of external belly button for many years with obvious effect, and patients with related symptoms can come to see us. This method is effective with few side effects and can be applied by most people.
