Endoscopic mucosal resection is performed by removing the lesion in the circler with a high-frequency electrical generator turned on, followed by trauma management.
The procedure is performed by first endoscopically inserting an injection needle into the submucosal layer at the edge of the lesion and injecting an injection solution, such as methylene blue, into it to promote separation of the lesion mucosa from the submucosal layer.
Then the injection needle is withdrawn and inserted into the trap, and the elevated mucosa of the lesion as well as the surrounding normal mucosa are set into the trap, and the lesion within the trap is excised by switching on the high-frequency electric generator.
If there is a small amount of blood oozing from the wound, epinephrine can be sprayed on the wound to stop bleeding; titanium clips can also be used to clamp the wound to stop bleeding.
