High albumin is not generally considered an abnormal condition. Albumin is synthesized by the liver and when it decreases, consider excessive albumin loss, consider a wasting disease, consider a decrease in the liver’s ability to produce albumin or consider malnutrition. However, when albumin is slightly elevated, the pathological condition is not usually considered. It may be a pathological condition due to dehydration causing elevated albumin, but at the same time the amount of hemoglobin may also be elevated and the red blood cell pressure product may also be slightly elevated, suggesting blood concentration. However, without other related indicators or symptoms of dehydration, it is normal for the albumin to be slightly elevated, which only indicates that the amount of albumin synthesized by the liver is slightly higher and is not pathological; only when the albumin is low does it indicate a pathological condition.
