Bao He Pills, consists of Hawthorn (charred), Liu Shen Qu (fried), Semen Xie (prepared), Poria, and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae. It is effective in eliminating food stagnation (promoting food digestion) and harmonizing the stomach. It is used for the distention and fullness of the epigastrium (abdomen) caused by stagnation of food stagnation, belching and swallowing of acid (swallowing the acid in the stomach that goes up to the oropharynx), and the lack of desire for food and drink.
During the period of taking the medicine, the diet should be light, avoiding alcohol and spicy, cold and greasy food. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time during the period of taking the medicine.
