Minor cranial nerve injuries can take at least a month to repair, and longer ones can take up to 3-6 months. The brain sends out 12 pairs of cranial nerves, which are called cranial nerves, and the ones that are most easily damaged are: 1) optic nerve, which is the nerve that controls vision; 2) olfactory nerve, which is the nerve that manages the sense of smell; 3) facial nerve, which is the nerve that controls the activity of facial muscles; and 4) auditory nerve, which is the nerve that controls the sense of hearing. Problems with the above nerves can lead to vision loss, loss of sense of smell, hearing loss, facial paralysis and so on. The cerebral nerve belongs to the peripheral nerves, as long as the damage is not very serious and the nerve is not completely severed, most of them can be recovered. Clinically, neurotrophic drugs or other therapeutic means can be used for treatment, and the most commonly used treatment is hyperbaric oxygen therapy. However, nerve recovery is very slow, and nerve regeneration may only be a few micrometers per day. Therefore, nerve recovery is not measured in days, but in months. Therefore, after the occurrence of brain nerve damage, we must have patience and cooperate with the doctor to carry out active treatment, and most of the patients can get better treatment results.
