Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Poriae Chrysanthemum cannot dispel dampness-heat in the lower Jiao. Chenpi has the effects of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating qi and strengthening the spleen), drying dampness and resolving phlegm; Poria has the effects of inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the flow of water to get rid of dampness), strengthening the spleen, and nourishing the heart; and Chrysanthemum has the effects of dispersing wind and clearing away heat, leveling the liver and clearing the eyes, and clearing heat and removing toxins (clearing heat and toxins from the body). Therefore, the above drugs do not have the effect of treating dampness-heat in the lower Jiao. Chen Pi, bitter and pungent in flavor, warm in nature. It belongs to the lung and spleen meridians. It is used for distention and fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), poor appetite and vomiting, coughing with excessive phlegm. Poria, sweet and light in flavor, flat in nature. To clear dampness-heat, you can use medicines such as Ermiao Pills and Si Miao Pills to clear heat and relieve dampness (remove heat and dampness from the body). Chinese medicine emphasizes on diagnosis and treatment, and it is possible that the medicines used may be different for different diseases, so patients should not use medicines blindly and must be guided by professional Chinese medicine practitioners.
