What is a positive blood HCG level?

If a clinical blood test for blood HCG is performed, a blood HCG value greater than 10 mIU/mL is considered a positive reaction. Most of the elevated blood HCG is clinically related to pregnancy, such as positive blood HCG in early pregnancy, positive blood HCG in ectopic pregnancy, positive blood HCG in biochemical pregnancy, and positive blood HCG in gravida. It is recommended to continue monitoring the blood HCG value by taking another blood test every other day. If it doubles, it indicates intrauterine pregnancy; if it only rises a little, it may be an ectopic pregnancy; if it does not rise but falls, it is likely to be a biochemical pregnancy. If there is an abnormal increase in blood HCG, it may be caused by gravidity or multiple pregnancy, and elevated whole blood HCG is also seen in patients with cirrhosis.
