Is it easy to develop high blood pressure by eating more salt?

  Hypertension is a major “killer” of human health, cardiovascular disease and renal insufficiency are the most common complications of hypertension, with high rates of disability and death and serious harm. Excessive salt consumption has a very close relationship with the occurrence and development of hypertension. Many people have heavy tastes and cannot eat without salty dishes, so they eat too much salt every time. Long-term excessive salt consumption is very likely to develop or aggravate hypertension. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a daily salt intake of 5 grams per person.  According to a survey, the average daily salt intake of adults in China is about 10 grams-20 grams, which is obviously an excessive amount. In the pathogenesis of hypertension, high salt diet has been increasingly recognized as causing increased blood pressure.
