What do ca125 and ca153 tests mean?

CA125 and CA153 are tumor marker tests that are used to determine whether a tumor is present in the body. Tumor marker test, if elevated tumor markers are found, it indicates that there may be tumor lesions in a certain area of the body. Clinically, elevated CA125 usually indicates gynecological tumors, such as ovarian tumors, ovarian inflammation, chocolate cysts, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, cervical cancer, or endometrial cancer, all of which may indicate elevated CA125. However, a simple increase in CA125 cannot diagnose the site of the lesion and requires clinical systemic examination to determine which area is occupying.
