A breast lump is basically the same as a nodule in that it is a significant abnormal growth of tissue in the breast. There are many causes, such as mastitis, benign hyperplasia of the breast, breast fibroids, or even malignant tumors of the breast. The reason for this is that you need to go to the hospital to improve the relevant examination to clarify the cause, usually need to check the breast ultrasound, mammography or breast MRI, etc. Some patients also need to perform a puncture biopsy or excisional biopsy of the mass to clarify the nature. If inflammatory infection is considered, antibiotics should be given for treatment, commonly used drugs are cephalosporin antibiotics or penicillin antibiotics. If malignant tumor is considered, radical resection of the tumor is needed, together with lymph node dissection, and later chemotherapy, targeted drug therapy, endocrine therapy, etc. may be required.
