In general, nerve entrapment may present with symptoms such as pain and sensory abnormalities, rest pain, radiating pain, motor dysfunction, and sympathetic nerve involvement.
1. Pain and sensory abnormality: Usually, pain and sensory abnormality are caused by the compression of peripheral tissues to the nerves. The skin innervated by the entrapped nerves may experience pain, sensory loss, and sensory abnormality.
2. Rest pain: It means that the pain is aggravated at night.
3. Radicular pain: refers to radiating pain, i.e. the pain may radiate to the proximal or distal side of the entrapped nerve at the same time.
4. Motor dysfunction: it mainly manifests the symptoms of atrophy and weakness of the affected muscles, limitation of movement, and uncoordinated movement.
5. Sympathetic nerve involvement: it will mainly show abnormal changes in local temperature and color of the skin, sweating and nutritional disorders.
Nerve entrapment may also show some other symptoms, patients should go to the hospital in time, under the guidance of the doctor for corresponding treatment.
