Why can’t the puncture determine whether it’s a papilloma or a cyst?

Puncture is a pathologic examination that can differentiate breast papilloma from breast cyst.
Breast papillomas and breast cysts are both breast diseases. Although there are screening methods such as molybdenum mammography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, sometimes diagnosis by imaging alone is still very difficult, and it is necessary to rely on breast biopsy (mammocentesis biopsy) to confirm the diagnosis.
Breast puncture biopsy is to locate and spot the puncture under image guidance, and then use the puncture needle to insert into the breast lump to do suction or cutting, collect the specimen tissue, and then carry out pathological examination.
Breast percutaneous puncture biopsy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of breast disease and is fully capable of differentiating between papillomas and breast cysts.
