Minimally invasive surgery is fully carried out in our gynecology department In recent years, the gynecology department has applied laparoscopy to treat benign gynecological tumors, such as uterine fibroids and ovarian tumors, and also to treat ectopic pregnancy, infertility, ectopic birth control ring and other diseases. The laparoscopic surgery has reached more than 2,000 cases, and among the gynecological disease surgeries, laparoscopic surgery has accounted for more than 70%, with good surgical effect and remarkable curative effect, which is welcomed by the majority of patients. With the wide development of laparoscopic surgery, some difficult and acute surgeries can also be successfully completed under laparoscopy. Recently, a patient with acute abdominal pain was admitted to the Department of Gynecology, who was referred to our hospital after treatment in a local hospital without improvement. On examination after admission, an irregularly shaped mass of 4 months’ gestation size was found in the pelvic cavity with obvious pressure pain. The diagnosis of uterine fibroid degeneration was made on admission. The patient and her family were very anxious because the necessary preoperative tests were done, antibiotics were applied to prevent infection, and symptomatic treatment was given. Through discussion, the decision was made to operate in an emergency. Considering that the patient was young, obese and had a large mass, and that open surgery was traumatic and the incision was not easy to heal after surgery, it was decided to perform laparoscopic surgery. The patient was found to have a normal-sized uterus and a purple-black, degenerated and necrotic left broad ligament myoma of about 20*18*15 cm in size. The unbearable pain disappeared completely, and the patient and her family showed sweet smiles, and she was discharged from the hospital 5 days after the operation. Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery, which has the following advantages compared with traditional open surgery; 1, small incision and light trauma. Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery is performed by making 3-4 small holes in the patient’s abdomen and inserting special instruments, which can effectively avoid the transverse tearing of muscle tissue caused by open surgery and cause minor trauma to the patient. 2, less pain, less complications, no surgical scars left behind. Because of the small trauma of lumpectomy, the postoperative pain is mild and no pain medication is needed, which can greatly reduce the patient’s pain, and does not leave scar and does not affect the beauty. 3.Fast postoperative recovery and good recovery of organ function. Traditional open surgery causes mechanical friction and damage to tissues and organs and surrounding tissues due to gauze and instruments, resulting in slow recovery of organ functions and easy tissue adhesions. Laparoscopic surgery effectively avoids these unfavorable factors and has little impact on organ function and fast recovery after surgery. 4. Reduce infection rate and improve medical safety. Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery is operated in a closed body cavity using specialized instruments, and the chance of infection is reduced. We believe that laparoscopic surgery will bring greater benefits to patients with the further development of the surgery and the improvement of the technology.
